About South Texas Working Drone Solutions
South Texas Working Drone Solutions (STWDS) is a drone services company based in Sandia, Texas. STWDS offers recurring inspection, mapping, progress and documentation programs for contractors, property managers, ranches and industrial sites across the Coastal Bend. STWDS is a new company, so we start with a conversation or a site walk, and any flight date is set in writing with the quote.
Founder and owner: Jimmie Hill
Jimmie Hill founded STWDS and owns it. He is a licensed private pilot and an FAA Part 107 remote pilot, so airspace, weather calls and preflight discipline are habits, not checkboxes.
Before drones, Jimmie spent about 12 years in offshore drilling and more than 10 years in chemical plant operations as a Master Board Operator. That time on live industrial sites is where STWDS's standards come from: follow site rules, work inside permits and JSAs, show up to the safety briefing, and never be the reason a job stops. He is trained in industrial firefighting, hazmat response, ICS/NIMS incident command, rope and fall rescue, first aid/CPR and 40-hour HAZWOPER, and he holds a TWIC card for port and maritime facilities.
Jimmie uses up-to-date systems and software to deliver consistent work and deliverables to every client.
How STWDS works
Every STWDS flight is flown by an FAA Part 107 remote pilot under the company's safety and capture standards, which Jimmie sets.
- Written scope before any flight.
- Airspace, TFR and weather check on every job, with FAA authorization where required.
- Written consent from the property owner, plus written authorization from critical-infrastructure sites.
- Your site rules, permits, JSAs and safety briefings, followed.
- If conditions aren't safe, the flight is rescheduled.
- Imagery is reviewed before delivery and shared only with the client.
What STWDS does
Recurring programs for construction progress, property-manager inspections, ranch land documentation, roofing volume and daytime industrial thermal imaging. Single visits cover roof and storm inspections, aerial photo and video, documentation mapping and 360 walkthroughs.
